shifter options
« on: July 12, 2010, 08:26:30 AM »
I am rebuilding a '99 Rocket
I'm deciding on shifters for it
I like the bar ends in friction mode on both of my trikes
I think I'd like thumb shifters on the Rocket
Are there ant thumb shifters that can go into friction mode ?

Barcons on Paul Thumbies ... should have kept the set you gave me ... Grin

This sounds like a fun project. Is the Rocket for you or are you building it up for someone else?

The trike rack worked great to get the Expedition to Bob (ext262) in Bismarck from Kellogg. I really should unbolt it from the gold 1/2 ton truck. I've been driving around in my charcol gray 3/4 ton HD beast ever since Idaho! The gold truck is still packed just as it left Idaho except for the Expedition, the coolers & my clothes.

+1 on the barcons on Thumbies!

I put these on a RANS Fusion and it was The Nutz!

If you remember those wonderful old thumb shifters..
Paul Thumbies are to mount Shimano bar end shifters on handlebars as thumb shifters.  They are like totally awesome!

Agreed ... I am using Paul Thumbies on my Rans Street CF. Not only do they still allow one to switch between friction & indexed ... they add back the barrel adjuster.
