I'm home! FINALLY! As David said, it was the cruise from hell for me. I'm not a cruise person, and saw enough of the world in my youger years, so cruising to Mexico isn't my idea of a rollicking good time. I was along to help Cindy with her dad, who sometimes over-does it and needs help even standing up. He paid for the whole trip, so I figured, why not? Wish I had stayed home!
Anyway, enough of my woes. I will post another thread about that trip, possibly in the Cage!
Gabe, Blue Springs is about 10-12 miles away from our house, depending on where the campground is. I'm not aware of any other campgrounds in the immediate area. Like David said, there is great camping out at Smithville Lake, where all of our riding will happen. BUT, it's 35 miles away from our house, where most of the non-riding activities will take place. Of course, you COULD get in more riding than the rest of us! Smithville has hunreds of camping spaces around the lake, with many hot shower facilities, and the trail runs right through most of them.
Hey, if you want to save enough money to stay in a motel up here, then just hold off getting that tooth worked on and Mark, Ed, Bill, Dennis, Dr. Duk and I will yank it out or drill it for you. I have lots of drills and other equipment for such work! Besides, with a guy named "Dr. Duk" on your dental team, how could you go wrong?
It's only three weeks away, guys, and gals! Get them thar trikes cleaned up! And, get them brownie recipes polished up.
Although we had over 9" of snow the day we left for the cruise, it is now quite nice outside. Let's pray this weather holds for the rally weekend!
Anybody else need any info? Are we all ready?
